Cairns Hindu Samaj Inc. is a not-for-profit organization established in 2019 with the purpose of creating a strong and unified Hindu community in the Cairns and the Hinterland region. We strive to preserve, promote and share Hindu culture, faith, and religious festivals amongst the diaspora in Cairns. We welcome volunteers, members and cherish the community participation.

A doting mother of two and a social worker who is enthusiastic about passing on the values and principles of Sanatana Dharma to future generations. I hail from the sanskari nagari of Vadodara, Gujarat, India

I am from Jalandhar, the beautiful city of Punjab, North India. I came from a very religious family background and still stay true to my roots. I have an orderly mind and methodical way of thinking. Glad to be part of Cairns Hindu Samaj.

Shilpa Pahuja (Executive Committe)

Born in Haryana, in a family of strong Shiva believers. Spend my childhood living right next to a “Radha Krishan” temple. Joined CHS to be part of team that shares a same dream as mine of building a temple in Cairns.

Preeti Sai Reddy (Executive Committee)

Born and bred in Hydrabad with strong cultural Hindu values. Moved overseas in 2005 still stick to our traditions and believe in passing them down to the next generations.
